Long Compton
The Red Lion is a Grade 2 listed stone-built coaching inn dating from 1748, located in an area of outstanding natural beauty and well situated for Stratford Upon Avon, Warwick, Oxford and The Cotswolds. We had an amazing time at the Red Lion Inn. Our stay was wonderful! The inn is extremely cozy! They had little details that made the arrival wonderful (radio with some classical music playing, nice lightning) The decor/art on the inn and the rooms was beautiful. The bath was very big which was a plus for being even more comfortable! Breakfast and food were delicious. The staff was super nice an attentive! Doggies allowed which made the place even better (we didn’t have one but still it was nice to see them around)

Each of our bedrooms have recently been fully refurbished to offer modern facilities in historic surroundings. It is very well located, near the city centre and all touristic attractions. The hotel itself, built in an old house is nice and cozy. The room was small but very clean. The bed was very comfortable. The staff was extremely kind and attentive, they helped us with our luggage, and explained us patiently how to get around the town. We also had a delicious dinner at the restaurant and a good breakfast the next day.

Signposting confusing outside. The two names confusing Innkeepers and King's Head, hard for taxi. Staff fantastic! Food good.
