Very nice restaurant, quite generous portions and very serviceable staff. The hotel is brilliant. We had a superb room,very nicely decorated, excellent bed, very quiet we slept quite well. Here again, the staff was very nice and helpful.

Situated in South Shields and within 800 metres of Sandhaven Beach, Ocean Road Rooms has a terrace, allergy-free rooms, and free WiFi throughout the property. Clean, simple, no frills, but just what I needed. Hot water, strong shower, clean and comfy bed, quiet. For a last minute place to get my head down for two nights, or was spot on. Free parking around too.
