As of February 2022 our Car Parking facilities are back in operation. Our car park is limited and is on a first come first served basis. Wonderful historical hotel. The view across to the Pier and the North Sea was wonderful. Great to open the window and hear the waves crashing against the sea wall. I commend the Staff at the hotel. Like so many hotels and restaurants both in the U.K. and Canada, full staffing is a problem since Covid. The people at this hotel were amazing, many having to cover more than one position. They were so friendly and helpful. Would return to The Red Lion if we ever come that way again.

Set in Ashwellthorpe and with Blickling Hall reachable within 42 km, The Bird in Hand offers a restaurant, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi and a bar. Location and facilities excellent! Food superb!

Located in Brisley, 22 km from Houghton Hall, The Brisley Bell provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant. Food was outstanding (both dinner and breakfast) as was the furnishing of the rooms. Particularly enjoyed the bathtub in the rooms.

Located 18 km from Blickling Hall, The Parson Woodforde offers 4-star accommodation in Norwich and features a shared lounge, a restaurant and a bar. We spent 2 nights in a lovely room, which was serviced on day 2 as well. No detail had not been catered for - the room was clean, comfortable and quiet. The food in the pub was also really good and the breakfast was exceptional. Thank you for catering to our every need - excellent value for money and we highly recommend this pub for a weekend away.

Situated in Warham, 24 km from Houghton Hall, The Three Horseshoes features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a bar. Friendly staff. Great food (we had dinner and breakfast). Excellent location for exploring the area.

The Gin Trap Inn offers a variety of accommodation in Ringstead (including some pet-friendly rooms on request only). Guests can enjoy the on-site bar. Free private parking is available on site. Dinner - whether in the dining room or bar was excellent. Imaginative and very tasty (e.g. fresh crab ravioli, lobster and a prawn bisque with baby spinnage leaves) . Similarly for the breakfast. Great room. Very friendly and obliging owner with polite, well trained and efficient staff.

Set in Great Massingham and with Houghton Hall reachable within 7.6 km, The Dabbling Duck offers a restaurant, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi and a bar. Absolutely fabulous. We went for the ‘seafood’ night, and the quality was outstanding. Great atmosphere, great vibe, and our waitress was a superstar!

Offering a bar and a restaurant, The Black Swan Inn is located 5.4 miles from the city of Norwich. We stayed one night after dropping our child at University of East Anglia. From the listing, it looked clean, well-located and a good value. Once we arrived we saw that it was SO much more than that. The hotel is absolutely adorable, with a perfect mix of modern and classically cozy. The room was well designed with all of the amenities you’d expect. The room was absolutely spotless (as well as the rest of the hotel). The staff was super friendly and the meals were ample, delicious and also a great value.
