Formally an 18th century coaching inn, The Fleece Inn includes original features such as old oak beams and fireplaces. Lancaster city centre is a 15-minute drive, and the university is just 6km away. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. A special effort was made to accommodate our late arrival (we arrived after 6pm on New Years Eve, when we had been told in advance that the kitchen would be closing early) and the kitchen provided us with a fabulous platter of ploughmans and fish. Breakfast was delicious too. Thank you!
