The inn has a sauna and a shared kitchen. The whole town is in the middle of nowhere, even by Finnish standards. But then again, this is probably the appeal :) There is a train stop though on the Helsinki-Kuopio-Oulu line for Paltamo, which is about a 10 minute walk prom the property. There are big stores and a petrol station too nearby, and of course the river and the lake, which are beautiful. You can swim too, if you want. The property is a large and fairly luxurious private home by appearance, divided into some private bedrooms and generously large common areas, like kitchen and bathroom. All very clean at the time of my visit.
Kovero
Set in Kovero, Koveron Majatalo features a private beach area and free WiFi throughout the property. Free private parking is available and the inn also offers free use of bicycles for guests who want to explore the surrounding area. Hi, clean, simple, isn't Lux, but a nice Apartment with Sauna. Wonderful Nature , wood, Lake .... yes, I am glad that was in Koveron Majatalo. Best regards!

Lovely location. Amazing rustic yet luxurious atmosphere. Gorgeous Lake Saimaa. Excellent breakfast & bistro food. Jacuzzi was brilliant. Sauna. AC was awesome in the heatwave. Wish I could've stayed longer! Lots of activities, got to enjoy the seal spotting trip (unfortunately no seals..) & Forest Cafe. Brought lots of cute souvenirs with me.
The secluded private shoreline with its own little jetty and row boat. The views of the lake, and the play of colours in the sky and their watery reflections during the summer nights. Nicely stocked fireplace (though we had no need for it). Good home-cooked breakfast and dinner at reasonable prices.
Location in nature area with possibilities to walk and very quiet. Staff are friendly. Dinner is good. Bathroom was clean and ordered.
I was surprised that there were ingredients for different kinds of oatmeal for breakfast. You did have to cook it yourself, but that did not take that long a time. I love oatmeal as my breakfast. Discount for dinner at a restaurant (it cost almost nothing).

It's a simple dormitory apartment with a well equipped kitchen, single beds, a desk and most of the things you need for a short stay. The basic sports equipment in the closet was the best thing that I've never seen anywhere else before. Typical Finnish breakfast that's included into the price is also a plus.
food was excellent, staff were extremely friendly and understanding. our Finnish is very basic. Minna who worked in the bar area was very attentive. The location of the hotel is ideal only being a short distance away from the rain station and the bus depot
Friendly staff and accomodating. Despite we arrived late, they gave us the chance to still have dinner. They also speak good English, which made the stay easy. From the guest house you can easily walk to the village.
