Stoos
Gipfelrestaurant Fronalpstock is situated in Stoos, 1922 metres above sea level and next to the 4er Sesselbahn Fronalpstock and 6er Sesselbahn. Located amidst the Ski Region Stoos, the inn is only accessible by foot or via the cable car. Amazing view from our apartment, with a shared balcony and foldable chairs to enjoy the views, especially at sunset. Breakfast was excellent; everything was already setup for each guest in the morning.
Alpnach
Offering a restaurant, Landgasthof Schlüssel Alpnach is located in Alpnach, at the foot of Pilatus Mountain. Free WiFi access is available. Featuring a bath or shower, private bathroom also comes with free toiletries. You can enjoy mountain view from the room. Extras include a desk and bed linen. The hospitality, friendliness, and extra support went beyond the ordinary.
Meggen, Lucerne
This hotel is situated in Meggen, just 700 metres away from Lake Lucerne. It offers an Italian restaurant with garden terrace. All rooms have a bathroom and cable TV.
Pasta dishes, pizza and risotto are served at Ristorante Schlössli. Homemade desserts include tiramisu, panna cotta with blueberries and chocolate mousse.
Everything was as it should be, clean and nice. The garden was also good. The atmosphere nearby was also worth seeing, I would like to be there once more!
Gersau
Overlooking Lake Lucerne, Gasthaus Tübli Gersau is a carefully renovated, historic guesthouse dating from 1767. It offers free WiFi.
The quiet rooms are furnished in a traditional Swiss style and feature cable TV.
Perfect place, nice, calm, centrally located on the lake shore, with nice staff. Their cuisine is also very good, the boat station is a few minutes' walk away.
Emmetten
Situated in the heart of Switzerland, in the village of Emmetten, Hotel Engel offers simple, comfortable rooms. WiFi is free and guests can sample traditional Swiss food in the restaurant.
The restaurant at Engel Hotel serves Swiss specialities made from fresh, seasonal produce. Guests can enjoy a hearty breakfast buffet, which includes a selection of homemade jams.
Excellent service, very friendly staff and very good dinner and breakfast!
Kriens, Lucerne
The Sonnenberg Hotel in Kriens offers panoramic views over Lake Lucerne, the mountains and the forest, a Nespresso machine in every room, seasonal cuisine and free WiFi.
Hotel Sonnenberg is easily reachable by the historic funicular, climbing up from Kriens Dorf within 7 minutes, from April to November. During winter, the hotel provides a shuttle service.
Absolutely stunning views, great location near Kriens (where gondolas and cable car to Pilatus leave from), comfortable rooms with lovely views and balcony with chairs and table, free minigolf and playground, free fruit for guests, ample free parking and 2 x 22KW chargers for electric cars. Last but not least, a fabulous and v reasonable Michelin quality fine dining menu in the restaurant (with wine from a vineyard we could see from the terrasse). Would highly recommend for anyone visiting the Luzern region
Rigi Kaltbad
Set on the car-free Rigi Mountain, Hotel Rigi Klösterli can only be reached by cogwheel train. It features an on-site restaurant and free Wi-Fi in the lounge. It offers basic rooms with shared bathroom facilities. It’s a family owned rustic hotel, very clean and cosy. The owners are very attentive. You could hear cow’s bells near buy, which I found very relaxing. Common bathrooms were very clean. The breakfast was wonderful
Ebikon, Lucerne
This cosy and quiet hotel is only a 5-minute drive from Lucerne and a 2-minute walk from the Rotsee lake, world-famous for its rowing regattas.
We offer spacious, well-equipped rooms and free parking in front of the hotel. In summer, free entry to the Rotsee lido, including a bathing towel and a canvas chair, are included in the price. The beautiful area around the lake is ideal for many forms of recreation and leisure, including jogging and bicycling.
The bus stops in the front and free parking!
Breakfast is good too. Also a tea station and coffee on the first floor.
Large family room with gorgeous views. We went on a couple hikes and enjoyed coming back to the gorgeous views from the terrace. We had breakfast on site but didn’t get to dinner. The restaurant menu looked very nice though. Dog friendly and even provided a dog bed and treats for our pup in the room.
I like the way they handled meals. Breakfast wasn't included, but they gave an 18.50-euro meal voucher for every day of stay that could be used in their restaurant. So, I could use one each day and get a good breakfast or combine them for a nice dinner.
Breakfast was basic but nice. Dinner at the Peruvian restaurant was excellent.

Location was perfect, and we had a lovely dinner on the first night. Staff were really friendly and helpful.
Loved the location right next to the Stoosbahn, amazing views from our room and the sauna right in the room. Check-in was super easy and dinner and breakfast were both delicious. Also an easy walk to the cable cars up to stoos ridge and near idyllic little playgrounds. Beds were super comfy and the whole place was modern and quiet but cozy.
The breakfast was very good quality and plentiful. The staff, from reception, cleaning crew and breakfast team was outstanding and very helpful. The reception staff helped make appointments for local service. The linens were high quality which was appreciated. The breakfast lounge remained open 24 hours which was a perfect place to bring in dinner and enjoy a "home like" setting. Highly recommend this hotel.
Beautiful and spacious room with terrace in a charming hotel located perfectly for access to the train station and old town. The customer service was outstanding in terms of both written communication prior to arrival to every staff encounter. Particular mention to Betti who went above and beyond to ensure our every need was attended to. We enjoyed an excellent breakfast and dinner at the lovely hotel restaurant and cocktails at Vespers. Highly recommend this hotel for tired travellers looking for a comfortable, welcoming stay.
The dinner was worth of a Michelin star, fantastic chef: food and presentation
I was located in the Guest House. The room was well equipped and a short distance to the main property. The breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of choices. I had dinner 2 nights and it was excellent. The waiters were most attentive and were well versed on the wines and menu. I would make mention that the guest house does not have a lift, only stairs, so be aware if lugging a large suitcase.
