The view of the room met our expectation as we could view the mountain Piltaus which we're aware our room does not have the lake view. At the same time, the breakfast was great with lots of varieties. The water/coffee corner on the 3/F was definitely a bonus. We loved the stay from the beginning to the end and would like to especially thanks to Lea who took care of our check in and booked us a nice table for dinner in the hotel's restaurant. She always carried a smile which made us felt welcomed and pleasant.

Wonderful hotel with a beautiful view! Excellent location to be able to experience central Switzerland. Lovely restaurant (top rated in Hergiswil) with great breakfast and exceptional dinner menu. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Nice coffee/tea bar on the 3rd floor - we loved drinking out morning coffee overlooking lake Lucerne!
the view of the room was great. it was easy to reach the hotel. the check in and check out was easy, however , at the beginning they provide us a room with twins bed although we asked for a king bed. so they had to change it.
Very tasty complimentary breakfast with gorgeous view of the lake. Loft suite worked well with kids. Wonderful dinner. Beautiful lake views.

It’s very close to the train station. The staff were wonderful. Enjoyed our daily breakfast and had a lovely 4-course dinner at the hotel restaurant. Thank you Hotel Engel.
Excellent dinner in the lovely restaurant
We made a reservation for 2 rooms of the same category a corner suite type. My room is 237 which is the same as advertised, but another room 235 is much smaller, the view is not that good, no sofa. The room 235 does not meet our expection, but it is charged at the same price. I can say it's unfair to us. The lunch and dinner at the hotel restuarant are superb. We love it.
