Auberge des Vergers has a garden, shared lounge, a terrace and restaurant in Geneva. Boasting a bar, the inn is close to several noted attractions, around 1.6 km from CERN and around 1.6 km from European Council for Nuclear Research. The inn features mountain views, a children's playground, and free WiFi is available throughout the property. The staff were very friendly and accommodating since my wife and I don't speak French. The service was great, and the food was wonderful. The staff helped us schedule a cab to take us to the train station.
Location was perfect - quick walk to the bus stop and not far from central Geneva Breakfast was a buffet so fast, basic but tasty. Perfect for a business trip. Dinner (pasta) was passable but very quick The room was perfect for one person, enough space for my bags, large bathroom, pretty sound proof.
The man who worked at the from the desk (I believe his name was Rami) did an excellent job. He remembered my name from a visit there a couple weeks prior. When I had no dinner options and no phone service he went above and beyond to make recommendations and then order a meal for me and my wife. He is an exceptional employee and made all the difference in our stay. I also liked that it was right at a train stop, though this was not advertised at all. That would have been helpful to know.
Excellent place to stay, safe, clean, close to public transport, excellent cooking and dinning facilities, loved the washing machine and dryer, supermarket downstairs, free coffee machine, free water and outstanding staff who did everything possible to make our stay amazing. Staff gave advice on places to see and eat out. Best staff in our stay in 8 European countries.
Stayed one night at beginning of holiday and had all good experience except booked breakfast with room as still stated on booking.com then got charged £50 for breakfast and was told to sort it out with booking.com. not impressed then stayed two nights at end of holiday and the staff were terrible. Room was not what we booked then although staff English was excellent when things were right they made out they didn't understand when things were wrong.
The room has a well stocked bar fridge. Bathroom/ room very clean. Service was great. Restaurant is lovely, the food was very tasty. Had breakfast and dinner twice. I missed out on the omelette, as I forgot about it. As for the chef, I hope this hotel appreciates the amazing food that is being made in their kitchen...from salads, to soups, to vegetable, to steaks! Wow!
The place was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. It was nice that they brought a breakfast to your room, but it was pretty simple. The location was the big winner here, as I shopped around quite a bit, and for a reasonable price, this place was located in a pretty prime location in Geneva.
Perfect choice, easy to get to both airport and city centre/lake. Super friendly helpful staff, great breakfast and dinner available too. Used airport shuttle bus and walked. Both quick, easy and safe. Flight was delayed so arrived after last shuttle bus, but felt safe and confident walking alone from airport.
The facilities are very primary,look like INN not a hotel
It is a good and very basic hotel. I stayed there for one night and it provides what is needed to have a sleep and breakfast. The room is clean and check-in was fast. There was even a fridge with sandwiches for those who want to have some dinner.
