The perfectly designed studio, with separate bedroom and bathroom, was exceedingly spacious, exceptionally well presented, scrupulously clean and well-equipped ( we cooked a 3 course meal). We booked breakfast, and our host, Carmen, was attentive and totally absorbed in attending to every detail. The tray of delights was brought to our room at the agreed time, and was superb!!! She even asked "how would you like your eggs....😀

Restaurant on the floor below (so you can have a beer after getting home) (I didn't notice any noise from restaurant guests at all).

All rooms were renovated in 2012 and comprise a private bathroom with toilet, shower or bath tub, a TV, a minibar and free WiFi.
A very large and clean room in a very nice, calm building.
The building is very easily accessible and it has free parking and a restaurant that's open until 22:30.
Reception was great, very professional and fast.
Bathroom was nice and spacious, with both hot and cold water, and no drain problems!
Wi-Fi was also very good if you need it!

Restaurant: excellent dinner & good breakfast
The restaurant on site had a great dinner and the included breakfast was locally sourced and tasty. Very happy with my stay.
Although English wasn't the staff's strength, they tried to speak it and were really nice and thoughtful throughout our stay. We had dinner at the hotel's restaurant and the food was really good. The bedroom was way bigger and nicer then we thought from watching the photos. Also the view from the hotel is something to behold!
Late check-in at 19.45 worked just fine. The restaurant was still open and we had a great dinner with a glass of Gruyere white wine! The room upstairs had a wonderful view.
Picture postcard setting and good location for the village and easy access, if fit and able, to walk to & from The Cheese Factory & train station. Staff were friendly. Breakfast was available at the property if you wanted it. The restaurant attached to the hotel offered us discount during our stay (which was also available in their gift shop in the village). We had dinner in the restaurant which was excellent and had stunning views. We spent the afternoon in the village & chateau. Very picturesque, tranquil & peaceful.
Very friendly family-run hotel. Cheerful efficient staff. Dinner was excellent, served in a charming setting. The room was immaculate, with a balcony . Unfortunately the weather wasn't great so we couldn't sit on the beautiful terrace overlooking the lake, but a good excuse to return in summer to enjoy the wonderful views.

Our family of four stayed in the family room. The kids loved the bunk beds and our bed was so comfortable! It was clean and the view was great! We popped into Murten for lunch and a walk before heading back to the hotel for dinner, which was delicious. They even had chicken nuggets for the kids. We were heading to the Alps early, so they were so nice to accommodate us with an early breakfast. Wonderful hosts. Great stay.
