Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening – distinguishing them from country or guest houses.
The room was very neat and nicely decorated.
The lodge has a good variety on the menu for lunch and dinner, with produce from the farm. On the whole the setting is serene and relaxing.
Comfortable and warm on a cold night and allowed to have own dinner - providing necessary utensils- but cherry on top was when I forget important items in my room - the establishment was effectively dealt with the issue and i received my goods by courier the next day - thank you!
Venue was excellent, dinner was lovely.. best pork belly I've had in awhile.. neat. Clean, safe. Was lekker not to leave the place to go have dinner.. big plus.
Interesting B&B in the grounds of the late 19th century author, Rider Haggard's, home. Very attractive garden, comfortable room, honesty bar and dinner was available if pre-booked. (No choice of menu, except we were asked if we had any allergies.) We had a good meal of lamb chops in our room as the weather was rainy, but could have eaten at a table outside or in the house dining room. Breakfast was good, with quite a wide choice and eggs cooked to order.
The staff are amazing. They are very helpful and friendly. The room is very comfortable and the bed sleeps well. There is always free water on arrival and the dinners are absolutely amazing. I have tried the Fish and Chips as well as the steak and veg. The meals also come with a starter, main and desert as well as a drink. The pool is always sparkling and inviting.
The place was big enough and very comfortable for my family. Staff and management were very professional and friendly. I would definitely recommend this guest house to anyone who is looking for comfortable accommodation to relax in Newcastle.
