Such a lovely little inn with really super staff. The restaurant is absolutely excellent. There was a fire alarm while we were there and the staff were professional and efficient in ensuring that everyone was safe and accounted for, despite the freezing weather.

The room was clean, the landscaping was beautiful, the pond was awesome. Liked the privacy of the log cabin and that pets are welcome. All the staff were very helpful and nice. Loved the coffee in the lobby each morning.

Location on the river and only a short drive into Woodstock. The building had lovely, quirky rooms and layout.
Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening, which distinguishes them from country or guest houses.
Breakfast was great and had plenty of choices to start the day! We also loved that there was an outdoor eating/hangout area where we enjoyed some takeout for dinner. It was perfect for our kids to sit and color and to have safe outdoor space to play vs being kind of cooped up in our room (though the room was lovely)! Also... in the lobby there were a near constant supply of complimemtary chocolate chip cookies fresh from the oven - a thoughtful treat for guests :-)
From near Springfield MA, we just wanted an inexpensive place to stay the night before a 9am King Arthur cooking class. Coolidge was perfect for our needs. We had an exceptional Tai dinner at Tuk Tuk Tai Cuisine and Sushi nearby. The hotel is historically interesting, clean & quiet, and we slept well. Andrew at the front desk was very pleasant. Free coffee in the lobby, and we were happily on our way.
We have stayed at this Comfort Inn a few times now and each stay has been great. The room was nice and clean, bed comfortable and we never heard any of our neighbors talking. the breakfast was super - everything was nice and hot and plenty of dishes to choose from. We will definitely stay there again if we have to stay over for the VA again.
Our first family trip with our dog was super stressfree thanks to White River Inn! We were in the area for the solar eclipse so even though we didn't spend a ton of time in the hotel, it was very pleasant. The pool was fabulous, spacious and clean- the kids got out of bed at 6:30 on our last day to get some pool time in! Lots of great family friendly food options in the area as well.
We loved the location. It was nice and quiet. The breakfast was excellent, as is expected at Hampton Inn. We loved the room set up. Everyone was really friendly and helpful.
Our room was not ready at 3 for check in but that's understable. They were full and everyone is short staffed. The upgraded us because of it and we were still able to get ready before our dinner reservations.
If you like rustic, not so modern accommodations this place is perfect. Creaky floors, old style rooms were ok for a one night stay. It was a very charming building and owners did their best to modernize while keeping the old style inn charm.
Easy access from highway. Older hotel; but, everything works fine. Free coffee. Close to places to eat lunch & dinner. Two-hour parking in front of hotel. Parking in back of hotel. Book early specially in the Fall.
From the checkin with Tom to checking out Sunday morning, all went smoothly and was quite enjoyable. My sister and I enjoyed Tom’s dry sense of humor. He’s quite the character. It was an easy walk to Elixir for dinner Saturday night and the service, menu selections and waitstaff were all exceptional. Our room was on the second floor facing the back of the building. Very comfortable, clean and perfect for our two night stay.
