They could improve on their breakfast offerings but it was their "off" season and the coffee was great.

Casa Gallina - An Artisan Inn, hotel in Taos

Casa Gallina - An Artisan Inn offers accommodations 5 minutes' drive from historic Taos. Free WiFi is offered. A flat-screen TV with cable channels, as well as a laptop are offered.

Richard, the owner of Casa Gallina, absolutely goes above and beyond to welcome each guest and make sure their stay is exceptional in every way. A light snack awaiting your arrival, fresh eggs from the "girls" and a surprise of delicious cookies are just a few of the ways Richard excels as a host. The accommodations are absolutely charming, and the grounds could not be more tranquil. My husband and I would absolutely stay at Casa Gallina again, it's a fabulous place to unwind and disconnect!

The staff helped with all of our requests. The junior suite we rented was better than I imagined. Loved the breakfast and dinner in the restaurant. Liked the breakfast so much we ate three both days we stayed. Really enjoyed walking the property at night while star gazing. It felt super safe as didn't see any street people or beggers while on the property. Loved Taos & would love to come back and stay with this excellent establishment.

The location was central to the plaza and amazing gallery's (don't take your credit card ;-) and Paco the owner and his team were amazing. Staying at the inn was like being in a living gallery of art and history. A wonderful ambiance. We will be back.

Our room was wonderful and having the courtyard just outside was great since the construction noise on the road was so bad on the front patio-no fault of the Inn’s. The live entertainment was great.

First, the property is away from main streets, so it is quiet. They allow guests to self check in. The room was clean, spacious, with a comfortable bed and wonderfully decorated. Welcome cookies! The grounds are kept, and there are plenty of areas to sit and relax. The innkeepers are easily reached and communicate well. Breakfast is made hot and fresh. Wonderful stay. You are only a 10-14 min walk to the downtown historic area. My pup had a good time, too.
