Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening, which distinguishes them from country or guest houses.
Great service at the front desk. Loved the third-party restaurant attached to the inn. Good food and unique free access to the kayak, canoe, and boat sitting on the pond next to the restaurant. Pool and hot tub were excellent - wood paneling in that room made it feel like the quaint Vermont inn we expected.
I liked the congeniality of the Inn keeper. I liked that they have international students come and work on the property. A very hospitable place and the cleanliness and up keep was excellent.
The location was excellent, in a walkable area of Stowe Village near hiking and biking trails. The Inn is charming and furnished with early 20th century furniture. Our room had a balcony with a nice view of the pool and mountains. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast at the hotel restaurant was a great way to start our day.
Green Mountain Inn is charming and on Main Street in Stowe. We walked right out the door to the cute shops. We loved the comfortable bed, the outdoor pool/fire pit area and the ping pong table.
A beautiful historic inn, that has a wonderful balance of old and new, friendly hospitality, and a fun, interesting array of things to do and places to eat, which makes our stay truly a welcoming home away from home, where we look forward to coming back to again. We like equally the Main Inn and Mill House where we stayed this visit. The spaciousness and luxuriousness of the king room was exceptional and very enjoyable.
Great location right in town, lovely facilities - pool, sauna, full gym, dining. Despite being a historic Inn, facilities are very modern, and rooms feel very private.
Would definitely stay here again if travelling to Stowe.
