We were there for a week at the beginning of November. The location is excellent—nestled in a quiet, peaceful area yet conveniently close to everything you need. It's within walking distance of UC Berkeley, approximately a 25-minute walk, and just 20 minutes from a shopping area. Plus, it's surrounded by a variety of restaurants, offering easy access to dining options nearby.
Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening, which distinguishes them from country or guest houses.
Check-in was easy and parking were easey, and check-out was simply leaving the key cards in the room. The location is great: Castle Inn is near some SF tourist spots, but we were there primarily for a dinner at House of Prime Rib, which is a short walk away. The room was clean and well laid out.
Hotel was fabulous. Hotel is in a safe spot of the city. Easy walk to everything. Had a great time there. They do a lovely little breakfast in the foyer every morning and depending on your day it can be a quick bite or a leisurely breakfast. Great bar and staff to come back for dinner and a drink after a long day sightseeing. great hotel and would hightly recommend

Stay away from the warf tourist trap plenty good near Chelsea Inn.
The hotel is located in downtown San Francisco, close to Union Square. From the hotel, it's very easy to find places to have breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The hotel is also close to Powell Street metro station, Target, shops, pharmacies, and tourist attractions. The hotel per se is very nice and homey.
Superb location if you want to explore Fisherman's Wharf. Ample well equiped rooms. Very nice breakfast with wide variety of fruit and plenty of other food to get you going till dinner time.
We enjoyed the location. It was easy to park during our stay and uber where we needed to go. We were there to watch deadpool so that was close, dinner at stinking rose in northbeach was not far either.
We chose the White Swan Inn whenever we are in the bay area. It does not feel like a hotel at all. The architecture and decor take me back in time, not just to the 60's but to the early 1900's. It's a great atmosphere to slow down, relax and enjoy. I look forward to the fireplace in the room. the breakfast in the morning and walking out the front door where I am a mere 15 minute walk to Tony's Pizza and the waterfront. Just a lovely place to stay!
