Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening – distinguishing them from country or guest houses.
Ideal hotel for experiencing the upper peninsula. Quick ferry ride and you are strolling on Mackinaw Island. The onsite restaurant is worth a visit for dinner - and BONUS - the restaurant is where you get your FREE, generous and delicious daily breakfast. A perfect place to unwind and dip your toes in the lake!
The inn was charming and very well kept. It was clean and beautifully decorated. The workmanship in the remodel was exceptional. It was perfectly located as a base for visiting St. Ignace and all the surrounding areas like Mackinac Island, Tahquamenon Falls, Sault Ste. Marie, or Whitefish Point. The owners are great and super helpful with activity planning around the area.
Staff's assistance in arranging shuttle service for ferry to Mackinaw Island, and purchasing tickets in advance. Evening dinner option within walking distance. Very good complimentary breakfast. Watched the sun raise from our bed!
Moosewood Inn was such a welcoming, adorable, and comfortable stay! We came with two other couples for one night on an roadtrips and we all had a great time. The office was also extremely friendly and accommodating which we greatly appreciated. We especially loved the decor.
The restaurant had great dinner food and a nice breakfast offering. The views were amazing! We had a balcony view of the lake and it looked like a tropical vacation right out my patio door!
The care and attention that goes into the running of this hotel are clearly evident. I found the room delightful and comfortable. Enjoyed chatting wit7h the innkeeper at check-in and receiving dining recommendations.
