Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening, which distinguishes them from country or guest houses.
We avoided the weekend crowds by arriving Sunday evening and appreciated the quiet atmosphere during our three-day stay. It was nice to have a choice of pools to jump in, and we had fun exploring the island. The location of the Inn made it convenient to walk almost everywhere we wanted to go. Coffee was available every morning in the lobby, and we liked having a refrigerator in the room. The staff did a good job cleaning up the mayflies - those cute little pests.
We reserved the only main floor room for easy access to our car. It was ready early and we dropped off our luggage early. The innkeepers provide a made-to-order breakfast every day. Choices of inside & outdoor dining. Spacious room was well appointed and maintained. Easy (1/4 mi) walking distance downtown and winery. Good security. Adult oriented.
Both the Inn and the staff are lovely and we hope to be able to come back in the future! There were lots of personal touches while everything was also done in a highly professional manner (e.g. the turndown service), which made our stay so special! It was quiet at night, too, which was an especially nice contrast to the noisy parties downtown (right around the corner).
The room and the bathroom was very nice and clean. Nick was very helpful for recommending dining options. The inn was very close to downtown and various eating/drinking establishments. I would stay there again.
The staff was amazing and helpful. The security team was attentive and friendly. The location was amazing, with a very short walk to the main area on the island. I loved being able to rent a cart from the Inn rather than hoping to get one from the vendor. The front desk staff was amazing and helpful. I even used the text service for a cab number when i was stuck further away and received an answer within a timely major, which was a life saver.
Cleanest hotel and grounds ever! My sister and I came to the island for a two night, three day stay. Ahoy Inn was everything we needed. We enjoyed the peaceful, quiet neighborhood that was close to shops and restaurants. We used the Inn’s bicycles to take a look around. This Inn is simple charm, no extravagance, just everything you need in a charming setting. We highly recommend it!
I liked how quiet the Ahoy Inn Guest house was. The man who owned the property was very nice and informative, he didn't bother us at all which I loved the most. He'd only ask here and there if we needed something.
The Anchor Inn is a pleasant spot - very clean, well appointed too. Food was good and environment was calm and quiet. We plan to visit again!
