The Herwood Inn, hotel in Palenville

Set in Woodstock, 44 km from Mohonk Preserve, The Herwood Inn offers accommodation with free bikes, free private parking and a terrace.

It was perfectly located in Woodstock. It was very comfortable for parents and an adult child to stay and enjoy the surroundings, walking distance to the Main Street and restaurants.

Murphys Law Inn 4, hotel in Palenville

Set in Leeds, within 44 km of Catskill State Park, Murphys Law Inn 4 offers accommodation with air conditioning. Both free WiFi and parking on-site are available at the holiday home free of charge.

This was our second stay at Murphy’s Law and we enjoyed it just as much as our first visit. The room was comfortable and very clean. The Murphy’s Law Public House has friendly service and good food. Leeds is a tiny town but is blessed with an excellent bakery, Lindsey’s breakfast place, and coffee shop.

Comfort Inn, hotel in Palenville

The hotel is located with easy access to Interstate 87 and State Route 32.

The breakfast was so limited that we left without eating. We are adults and are decades past eating fruit loops which was the only cereal option. I presume that this was because the only other people we saw appeared to be children living there with their mothers. The were very polite and no problem but I felt we were staying in some sort of emergency accommodation.

What a treat - comfortable bed, enormous room(s), well-appointed property with great indoor and outdoor spaces and probably the best homemade muffins we have ever had. The historic boarding house has been made into a very comfortable small inn that's lovely without being over the top in the way of some "fancy" small inns. The only downside was that we were spending the weekend with our kid at Bard so we didn't get to spend more time at the Woodbine Inn - we hope to come back and explore more.

The Inn is situated by a creek which, at the right time of the year, must be pretty.

Very cute, newly renovated lobby/public areas; well-appointed, comfortable, and spacious room; lovely grounds; great continental breakfast included; super nice, friendly, and personable staff (particularly owner Brian and bartender Betsy); excellent soundtrack outdoors by the tavern - highly recommend!

The owner, who also staffed the front desk when we arrived, was really friendly and helpful. He offered several suggestions for dinner at nearby restaurants and other tips about the area. The grounds are lovely, and the newly built firepit looks terrific, although we did not try it. The beanbag toss was also fun and fit in with the general relaxed theme of the Lodge. The owner has great plans for the future, having just purchased the property in recent months. Easy access to Woodstock.
