Breakfast was very good. Would have liked eggs, but that was never part of the deal.
Gas fireplace in the common area was very nice. The restaurant entree's were very good.
Sitting area for room 11 was a real plus. The two common areas on first floor were HUGE, and still inviting.

We were happy with our 3 night stay at the Copper Beach but the facilities are due for some maintenance and repair.
The main Inn needs to be painted and some wood rot was visible. Loose floor tiles in the restaurant, loose door knobs, cracked sink, stained carpets were some things we noticed. Our first room had a heating issue and the remote control did not work due to dead/corroded batteries. The staff was attentive and addressed the problem right away but we had to change rooms anyway. Second room was very nice and we were fine with the outcome.
The breakfast was good and the choices adequate.
This property could easily get a 9/10 rating with a bit of attention to detail.

Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was basic but satisfactory to start the day. I prepaid the room and checking in and checking out was fast and easy. There was a CTTransit stop right in front of the hotel that went directly into New Haven.

The Pier Blue Inn is in an excellent location to enjoy all of the key sites of Old Saybrook, Connecticut. I dealt with three separate Front Desk personel, and they were each incredibly gracious and wonderfully accommodating. Our room was clean, sufficiently large, and had every furnishing/convenience we needed. The staff was also respectful and considerate of our dog.
Quality furnishings in room and comfortable bed. Excellent staff, very friendly and accommodating througout the property. Even the kitchen and waitstaff are so polite when walking across the hallway and replenishing the buffet food etc. I've been to many hotels here and abroad and very impressed with the hospitality and manners. Keep up the good work Saybrook Inn management, excellent job!
The location was easy access to lots of places that we wanted to visit. Everyone we spoke to at the Liberty Inn was very friendly. The room was clean and the bed was extremely comfortable.
The inn is a basic room with a mini fridge, microwave and coffee pot, which is all we needed for a few nights. The location is near many beaches, restaurants and shopping.
place was nice situated close to outlets and a nice town, shuttle buses were included to and from town for dinners
