Didn't stay for breakfast but room was neat and clean
Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening – distinguishing them from country or guest houses.
The location is fantastic..The room has been updated.
We used the refrigerator and coffee pot only. So, we don't know if the burners worked..The room has new windows and we could get cross breeze through out the day. At night we used the ac to block out any possible noise. The front desk ladies were nice and helpful. Bee and Melba. We walked to restaurants close by for breakfast. We walked to boardwalk, shopping and dinner close by. They even have a very nice pool.
We had a 2.5 year old and a 16 month old so we did not go out to dinner or breakfast. We ordered randazzo and ate by the pool and we got buns and donuts at a bakery
Nancy, the innkeeper, is wonderful and so accommodating. She was so kind to my son and me. The breakfast is delicious. The porch is lovely and the location is an easy walk to the boardwalk and beach. We will definitely be returning soon!
I have stayed at the Scarborough Inn several times and it is always a tremendous experience. My favorite part of the inn, aside from the lobby, is the front porch. The owners provide ice cold drinks and snacks and you can sit in a rocking chair on the porch and watch the world go by or talk to other guests. I love it!!! The inn is always clean as a whistle and the staff is very friendly. It has become the my first choice when staying in Ocean City, NJ.
Breakfast was delicious! Owner was very friendly. Room was very clean and comfortable. Lobby area was very comfortable and where me and my friends spent the most time since it was raining and there were high winds the entire time we were there. It was also a nice touch that the owner left a pitcher of sangria and brownies in the lobby in the evening when we returned from dinner.
