Can’t turn off the heater and it’s LOUD. So loud you can’t sleep . The bath is dirty , the shower won’t work. There aren’t any windows, the rooms hot and stuffy. The blinds have to be shut to have any privacy so no natural light or no privacy. Bed doesn’t have a duvet cover just a sheet. The sauna and hot tub aren’t very accessible and I wouldn’t trust the cleanliness as not even the bath is clean.

It is well located, the receptionists are polite, the room is clean.
Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening, which distinguishes them from country or guest houses.
Location couldn't be better, in the middle of Cannery Row. Service from the Bell staff was tollerable service from the valet was unacceptable. We called for our car to go to a dinner reservation. The car took an hour. As a result we lost our dinner reservation and all we got was a weak response from the hotel manager on duty. When I demanded financial consideration I got free valet service for our stay
Room was spacious, nice and clean. Breakfast was pretty good compared to similar inns we stayed in during our trip. Very close to Monterey downtown and best viewpoints, but also to stores, etc.
Excellent location for visiting Monterey and Carmel, easy on and off freeway or easy to drive to Monterey harbor area. A very nice family restaurant is across the street for dinner. Great breakfasts to the north in Seaside or back to the harbor area.
It is near the airport, but seems to be mostly active in daytime.
I liked the Pacific Inn Monterey. The area was safe, the site has its own parking area, the room was fine, rate was reasonable, right next to a good breakfast place -- Grandma's -- and the best Chinese restaurant I've ever been to is just down the road -- Chef Lee's.
Reading the description of this location you may think you're staying at the Merritt house but your staying at an Inn next door. The rooms were larger than I expected but still had the historic B&B charm we expected.
I liked the size of the suite, the cleanliness, I liked that it was close to everything we were traveling to, and most of all it was affordable for my family, we will definitely be going again and staying at the Red Roof Inn.
