Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening, which distinguishes them from country or guest houses.
Island Motel was a gem of a place to stay . The room had everything we could have wanted and was immaculately clean and spacious. The hosts were so welcoming and friendly and gave excellent recommendations for dinner in the local area. Access to water, bags of ice and complimentary hot drinks was a lovely touch. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and wished we were there for longer. Would absolutely recommend.
The property is quiet, nice and convenient. There is a 7 eleven convenience store within walking distance and a shell on the other side of the inn within walking distance as well, the grocery stores out here are a bit expensive but dollar general is right next door. The parking available by each room is a plus as well as the little deck area, my son and I spend some time on the deck area of our little unit.
This was our first visit to the Outer Banks. The location of the Inn in Manteo is beautiful. Away from the hustle of the tourism in the area yet close enough to enjoy all the OBX has to offer.
This is absolutely the best bed and breakfast we have ever been to! The family who owns the Inn is amazing and we felt at home. We cannot wait to go back!!
Beautiful and cosy guest house. Very comfortable and clean room. Great four course breakfast. Lots of complimentary snacks. Great central location. Felt very welcome and at home here!
The Burrus House Inn was an absolute JEWEL! It was a beautiful property with breathtaking views of the waterfront and minutes to the outer banks and other area attractions. The Inn provided delicious free breakfast sandwiches and my family loved the spinach danishes. Free bikes are provided for a great ride through time and the property provided 2.5 hours of live music by Dustin Furlow. Awesome visit!
The location of the Inn in downtown Manteo was quite convenient. It was one of the reasons we chose it. The Inn itself is quite charming and our room was spacious and clean. We were celebrating our 45th wedding anniversary that weekend and made arrangements to have dinner at the Inn's restaurant Saturday evening. The food was excellent and we enjoyed the live entertainment.
I loved the sea glass parking area, the fire pit was a very nice touch & the staff were very welcoming & seemed eager to help in any way.
I loved the coziness of the inn & the color scheme
Scarborough Inn is an older facility, whose appointments are commensurate with the rate. Location was ideal for our needs. Parking was adequate, and rooms were very large.
