The room was huge. Well equipped. Everything I needed. Cozy. Big patio. Decorated very nicely for fall. Nice views. Parking space was large enough and not cramped.

Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening – distinguishing them from country or guest houses.
The Reluctant Panther is a beautiful small hotel with wonderful staff. We were upgraded to a suite upon arrival to a beautiful room with a gas burning fireplace. The rooms are nicely decorated and clean. The location was perfect in the center of the historic section of Manchester, VT which was nice for walking after breakfast and close to area restaurants. Also, we loved our picnic basket breakfast that we had in the dining room. Our meals were delicious and we'd like to try having dinner there when we visit another time.
Location was perfect for walking into town (walkable to Ye Old Tavern, Thai Basil, shopping, outlets, etc.). The staff was friendly. Property amenities were nice - golf, bon fire, tennis, heated outdoor pool, yard games, etc. Our room was clean and bed very comfortable. The Palmer House really is about location. We have stayed before and will stay again for short overnight trips b/c of this.
The greeting we got from Todd was warm & welcoming and our room was beautiful with amazing bed linen. Breakfast was perfect!
A beautiful Inn with lovely hosts
The room was large, beds comfortable, everything was spotless. Manager extremely helpful offering suggestions for dinner as well as breakfast since they don’t serve breakfast. Answered all questions about other locations we asked about
Very friendly Innkeeper who welcomed us. Eventhough it was peakseason they were able to arrange a table for us in the restaurant which was lovely, food was amazing. We had a very comfortable stay in one of the suites.
