Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening, which distinguishes them from country or guest houses.
Close to the river, shopping and restaurants. Pool was the reason I picked the Inn, plus I have stayed there before. You need to fix the sewer smell and I know that is difficult. All in all good, but not great. I will come again.
Quiet Mind, a lucky find for us. We had booked as a stop over whilst travelling around the national parks but wished we'd had a week or longer here. The setting is beautiful and the owners lovely. They really are providing something special for guests. Home cooked dinner options and a wonderful breakfast. Located in a most wonderful spot, anybody who has the chance to stay here must! A real retreat for those who want to disconnect and enjoy life's simplicity at its most beautiful.
The most important thing is the attitude and attention. Huge thanks to the hostess for making our holiday unforgettable. I slept really well that night and woke up feeling great. Dinner was amazing, like a Michelin restaurant! We both had an incredible time!
Very nice surroundings and the room was spacious and comfortable. The bed was also great. Everything was clean and all the supplies were there. Friendly and helpfull staff. Also we had dinner there and that was very good.
Kernville Inn has amazing walkability, is directly across from the Kern river, and feels safe to tuck into for the night. We enjoyed dinner at the diner next door, walked the town a bit, swam until the sun started to go down, then rocked on the porch until bedtime. We did not use the laundry facilities, but they appeared clean. We loved the room and were very well rested for the next days' trip.
Beautiful and peaceful location , staff worked hard and were very polite and attentive, room newly decorated, breakfast was good. You could get dinner if ordered in advance, which was OK if you were really hungry (no meat).
The Kernville Inn is a very pleasant old world motel in the delightful town of Kernville. The rooms are very comfortable; always well prepared on arrival. Even though it is a lodge-style motel, the WiFi is reliable and robust. Kernville has a reasonable set of dining options but you do need to check which establishments are open, and when. I also get the sense that Kernville has been "discovered" as a tourist destination and may get busy in high season.
The location is ideal! It is located near the Kern River, shops and restaurants! We stayed in the 2 bedroom suite and it was cozy and inviting!
Also, The staff was very nice and helpful!
