We had a lovely, comfortable room in a great location. The main shopping area of the bohemian town of Hawi is only a block away, but the inn is very quiet and private.

This place is magical…tucked into the forest, a gorgeous old home, majestic bamboo groves, wind in the palm trees, screened porch for a fabulous breakfast, and the option to have dinner, too! Wow.

The breakfast was incredible. Fredh baked bread all gluten free. Amazing French press Kona coffee. The fresh fruit was so delicious. We even had a late dinner upon arrival after 10 pm that was so delicious and healthy.

The room and inn are elegant, comfortable and accommodating, with a full kitchen and delicious breakfast treats, and a refreshing swimming pool -- a unique experience. Our hosts were kind and wonderful!

The location was very good. We were circumnavigating the big island on bicycles and the ride in from Honaka'a over the shoulder of Kohala on Route 250 was fabulous. We were able to walk to the local Mexican Restaurant for dinner, ride a couple miles east in the morning to the King Kamehameha statue, and then get refreshment at the Kohala Coffee Mill Cafe before continuing on our trek. The Kohala Grown Market looked to be a fabulous place for breakfast, but this place didn't open until after 10.
