Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening – distinguishing them from country or guest houses.
This inn had such a nice atmosphere.
The room was big, very very clean. Lots of little thoughtful touches: a full size soap dispenser with pump, coffee machine with creamer, different teas, a couple of water bottles, lots of places to put and hang your things, lots of electric outlets.
We enjoyed falling asleep to the sounds of the waterfall.
Right across the bridge there's a nice tavern that serves cocktails and excellent brick oven pizza.
I think it's now my favourite inn in the Amherst area.
Old Mill Inn is a charming low-key accomodation. We stayed in the cottage and found it to be clean and comfortable. The staff and the service were wonderful.
The room, though very small, was entirely adequate for me.
This facility was my second choice after I returned to another place that wanted to charge me double what I had paid several nights earlier just because it was Saturday night. Refusing to pay that much at the Howard Johnsons Motel in So. Hadley I found this place, The Hatfield Inn. Though I was greeted by a single man who said he did not really know what he was doing, he completed the check in quickly and efficiently.
The breakfast was great. The location is a mixed bag; specifically, it is a pretty scene, with great outdoor seating. Of course, the inn itself in really tucked away, so quite a ways to 'things.'
Such a lovely inn! The renovations are exceptional. It’s a perfect mix of industrial and old fashioned charm. The room was lovely. It felt like we were staying at a friends house. The waterfall outside the window was charming and provided a natural white noise for sleeping. The staff was very friendly, too. We loved everything. Hope to go back one day soon. Thank you!
