Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening – distinguishing them from country or guest houses.
We loved the ease of checking in on our own and when it was convenient for us. We loved the common area with the warm fireplace and a place to play cards. Our room was quiet and private. The inn was equipped with everything we needed. Coffee for the morning and a cup of hot tea in the evening. We could walk to all of the restaurants and if it had been warmer we would have walked to the Bear Center and The international Wold Center as well.
The Inn was centrally located, ideal for exploring all that the town had to offer. The room was charming. The kitchen/lounge area with fireplace and comfy chairs was inviting. The complementary breakfast was at a lovely coffee-shop cafe owned by the same management, located a short block away from the Inn.
We have stayed at Adventure Inn many times. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and cozy with a "northwoods vibe". The hotel is located within walking distance of Ely shops and restaurants and a short drive from the many lakes and trails in this area, including the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness.
The location was very nice. Our room looked out over the lake with fall leaves still on the trees. We had dinner in the Lodge at Evergreen. The food was good. The bed was very comfortable, not hard as a board like many places.
