Fine for a One Night Stay, Quiet and convenient when arriving by car from Portland. Having a free breakfast was useful, although it is basic, and I had the opportunity to try Fruit Loops for the first time, which I'm glad I didn't have to pay for, as they were the most sugary and artificial thing I have ever eaten

We really loved the view from the deck. When sitting out, the view is obstructed due to the wooden slats on the deck rail.
Situated a few steps from the historicoceanfront prom and the city centre of Seaside, the Gilbert Inn Seaside offers individually decorated rooms with antique furnishings and free Wi-Fi.

The location of the hotel is wonderful so I was able to go for an evening swim in the ocean. My room was spacious and very comfortable, especially the bed!!
Located on the beach and adjacent to the Promenade, this Seaside inn features a gourmet restaurant and free Wi-Fi in all rooms. Downtown Seaside and Seaside Aquarium is 5 minutes’ walk away.
Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening, which distinguishes them from country or guest houses.
The property is directly on the beach so we had a nice dinner up the road then walked down to the beach to watch the sunset from our room. It was lovely. Service at the hotel was great and the room was nice.
Room had a view of the beach and ocean. Beautiful spot to watch the sunset from the balcony. Room had a small seating area and an electric fireplace - it came in handy with cooler evenings and fireplace added cozy atmosphere while warming up the room. This room faced the opposite direction of Haystack Rock - but still a beautiful view. Had small kitchen and dinning room table - there's a grocery store across the hotel if needed.
I have pledged my loyalty to tolovana inn after a staff member a few years ago went absolutely above and beyond to help us find something super last minute after we got into town and an issue came up with the original hotel we booked.
I also really love that its right on the beach, in the heart of cannon beach and so comfortable like being at home. I absolutely love that we can save so much money by utilizing the full kitchen in the room and that housekeeping comes around daily to refresh
The small inn has a very charming central plaza and pretty brick pathways. It felt very homey and out-of-the-way. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.
The room exceeded my expectations! It was much larger than most hotel rooms I've used in the past. It felt so cozy. I loved the large space. It had tons of floor space, a small dining table, and a huge balcony with a beautiful view of outdoor firepit. The bathroom looked new and was very clean. I also loved that their were two sinks for both my wife and I. The Inn was also walking distance from the Cannon Beach entrance, had free parking, and a decent spread for breakfast. I would definitely stay here again.
a very affordable stay by the beach in comparison to other offers around cannon beach. the bed was very comfortable and the room had all I needed. I got in late, but just in time to have dinner at mo's chowder with ocean view. just across the inn there's a grocery store and a couple mins walk up the road there's a lovely coffee shop for breakfast. I felt like this was a perfect stop over for my road trip, would come back again if i'm in the area.
We have stayed here a number of times. This is a charming, historic Inn, in a great location. The site dates back to when Lewis and Clark camped on or near the site at Ecola Creek. The rooms have been updated and are comfortable. It is a pleasant place to stay. The grounds are very nice. Staff are pleasant and helpful. Bed was clean and comfortable. Bathroom clean, good shower.
