Absolutely a dream. I am so happy I took the chance of staying on the Bay Side of the island. The Inn on Pamlico Sound is an absolute treasure, I felt almost like I was on another planet. The sky & the ocean were nearly the same color & I took break-taking photos! The breakfast, cookies, jacuzzi tub, bathrobes (we bought one to take home!), resort clothing (I bought two soft hoodies) the VIEW & staff were the highlights!
The inn was very close to the beach as well as quintessential beach stops like grocery stores, souvenir shops, gas stations, and restaurants. Only a couple minutes down the road from the Hatteras Lighthouse, too!
Ate at a local restaurant close to the hotel, the inn offers clean comfortable and affordable the atmosphere was friendly and safe. The pool was not available, but it was clean and filled , we would definitely recommend and return here again
Great location, close to beach, Hatteras lighthouse and restaurants. Friendly staff, lots of space to park, fast WiFi. Rooms are standard motel style, somewhat worn, but the Hatteras Island Inn offers good value considering the location. Happy to come back!
I’ve chosen this hotel because of its view and location, and I promise you it wont disappoint you. The location is just wonderful.
The building is very nice and well distributed, fitting perfectly into the landscape. The rooms are very nicely decorated, with a contemporary beach vibe. The bathroom could use sone renovation, but all in all it was good.
We had dinner and breakfast at the restaurant and boh were amazing. Best breakfast I’ve had in the USA during my 14 days road-trip.
We always love staying at Hatteras Island Inn! The place is always clean and people are friendly.
