Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening – distinguishing them from country or guest houses.
The room was very clean, especially the bathroom and shower. We were really grateful for the functioning aircon during 90 degree days. The inn itself was charming and the staff were competent without being overly friendly.

Loved the location to BU and Fenway Park, as a Pickleball player I heard the distinctive sound of paddle to ball not very far away in the park behind 123 Longwood Ave. The parking onsite included was HUGE plus. I cancelled 2 other no parking reservations before finding The Longwood INN. Kitchen refer used to store Mike's Pastries Cannoli's.
Room was ready early so a real plus to leaving stuff in car.
The Beacon Inn is quaint. It was affordable and comfortable. The location and price were perfect for my trip. If you're expecting lots of bells and whistles go elsewhere. But for an affordable, nice stay in the city, the Beacon is just fine.
