This place is very beachy and charming, what’s not to like? The inn keepers are very lovely. I’d much rather stay at a cozy place like this than a chain hotel. I loved that they had hardwood floors instead of carpet, too. Really close to the beach too so that’s a plus!

Belmar is a lovely quiet town and Saltwater Inn was perfectly situated to the beach and the restaurants. Wasn't expecting breakfast so was delighted in the morning when I found they had cereals, pastries and hot drinks on offer. The Inn has a covered porch which was delightful to sit under whilst having a few refreshments and a game of cards. Joshua has a very pleasant manner and was on hand should we needed anything.

Okay, I have thought about how to rate the Belmar Inn. It is what it is. It is 200 steps from the beach. (I counted) It is clean enough and provides what one should expect in this price range. The price is good. Consider that the house across the street is listed to rent for $22,000 a month for a 2bd, 1ba less than great looking place. You get what you pay for. This is a great cheep crash pad for spending time on the beach and exploring the coast. It is what it is and it does what it does well.

Flying in to Newark, taking the train to Belmar, and then walking the quaint neighborhood to the Inn was easy. We're already missing our delicious breakfast, the fun bikes and inviting front porch-Cord & Dedra's creative hospitality kept us smiling throughout our stay. Free beach badges was a great bonus!!!

We loved the location, how cute the property was, and it was well kept & clean. We had a super cute swinging egg chair in our room that was comfortable. I can’t say enough good things about Josh the inn keeper. He was very kind, checked in on us, and managed expectations. He even let us know he had replaced our window AC unit to counter act some unexpected circumstances - we were kept nice and cool! It was a really special trip for us in a special place.

Yes it was was older but clean, warm shower, 1/2 mile from restaurants, across from beach for a morning walk. Parking on street. Not sure if summer would make that harder. Sat downstairs and ate my dinner looked at the water
