Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening – distinguishing them from country or guest houses.
There is a park next to the inn with a stream running through it that is very pretty. Maria was friendly and served a nice breakfast. We met the other guests at breakfast each morning and had nice chats about our activities the day before. The room has a small fridge for keeping leftovers.
Everything room was exceptionally clean. Everything in the “shared” portion which is essential the dinning room was absolutely spotless. The location is right next to a park with a beautiful creek as a view which was great. The breakfast in the morning is most definitely in my opinion the best part even with everything else being great. The food and coffee was freshly made and absolutely delicious by the very nice owner Maria, and we had some of the best conversations ive had in a long time with her husband Robert.
My family of four had a memorable time in Alaska. Although we hardly spent time at the Inn, our host Anthony made sure we were comfortable and had the best time from start to finish, little things like showing us the cooling/heating system to big things like fixing things here and there.
A rustic character to this hotel with some facilities for self catering. Within a block and a half of good bus service between the airport and downtown.
This property is well located for taking the train and walking to downtown. Wonderful snacks provided, thoughtful tastes for weary travelers. Owner gave great recommendations for dinner…very thoughtful.
We stayed @ Merrill Field Inn on the last day of our vacation in Anchorage (July 15, 2024). The staff picked up us from Train station then provided delicious breakfast the next early morning (05:30am) and transported us back to the airport. They were very generous; the price was not expensive but with the breakfast and shuttles they provided, we recommend people to stay @this Inn.
We only stayed one night, but it was perfect. Room was clean and comfortable. The innkeeper met us when we arrived and she was kind and welcoming. The plentiful snacks in the lounge were an unexpected bonus. Highly recommend!
Beautiful property, ideally located so close to the train station and walkable restaurants/tour sites. Room amenities were outstanding. Innkeeper was so nice and helpful. Especially loved the lounge set-up and the snacks/breakfast available. Everything was outstanding!
