Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening, which distinguishes them from country or guest houses.
Very private and right in front of a beach! Dinner and breakfast was good and the whole area was quite calm so had best night sleep (as many other places I stayed around the area had farm next by and you get woken up by rooster and prayer speaker at 4am every day)
The hotel is gorgeous with intricate wood details and all the modern amenities.
It's situated in a great little street in Stone Town with easy access to the beach, Freddie Mercury museum, and shopping. Highly recommend having dinner at the rooftop bar- it was a beautiful sunset and delicious food!
Great friendly staff. proper bouti hotel with a rustic/historical feel aesthetically. Comfortable beds with mosquito nets. good AC and fan ppwer. Decent shower pressure and lovebthe old school locks on the doors. Right in the middle of stone town. 5-7 minute walk to Forodhani where the divers are and the night market.. 10-15 minute to the pier/port for ferries to Dar es Salaam.
Nice spacious room with aircon and a clean bathroom. Very friendly staff. Good dinner and drinks. Very nice beach bar area and cool place to dine in the evening. Nice chill out areas.
The resort was very clean housekeeping did a very good job .food wasn't bad and all the staff was very friendly, helpful and always smiling .my best one was Saimon Hussan, seeing his smiling and welcoming face is golden..Pauline E.Ryoba receptionist. winnie .keep up that good work and stay blessed 🙌 and Jacq thank you so much for everything hope to see you soon
The food (breakfast and dinner) was exceptional. And very well priced for the area. Seafood platter was great. The area is just on the edge of old stone town which made it extreme easy to get to with transport, but also very easy to access stone town and walk around.
This place was a hideen gem. The hostel is one of the oldest guest house in the city, full of old photographies an objects, carpets on the floor and spaces were to sit and relax. Amazing rooftop with view on the port and the sea life. Nice sunset. The stuff extra friendly, the girls who served breakfast as well, take care of the details. They can order food for dinner or lunch in case you need it. Walkable distance from the centre.
The view from this hotel is excellent. The bed was comfortable. One could walk down to the beach easily. If you are on a very tight budget, this is an ideal place to stay, do not expect the usual luxuries associated with beach resorts. If you like a rustic feel of an old inn, with weathered walkways, steps and exteriors of the buildings, then you will be at home.
