Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening, which distinguishes them from country or guest houses.
Wonderful hosts and a beautiful setting in the hills. Vicky and her parents all spoke good English and helped us plan our days in Yuli. Also they very kindly invited us to join them for dinner on our first night. We all truly loved our stay at Wisdom Garden HomeStay.
the owner's daughter was very hospitable and made sure we were well taken care of, helping us buy takeout for dinner as it was getting late after we checked in, preparing a nice spread for breakfast as well as driving us to the train station on the last day.. oh and the dogs are so lovable I didn't want to leave
Treat this as a hotel and you might find it a little remote (unless you have you own transport). Think of it as a retreat for a few days and it is superb. The venue itself is supremely comfortable and relaxing and the hosts go out of their way to facilitate this. Lifts to town were offered (and declined!), but we did take up the offer of bringing back dinner. The ‘simple’ in-house breakfast was the best that we have had on this two month trip away.
The guest house was really great. The host was very welcoming, nice and helpful - even helped with a question we had by calling someone in Chinese on our behalf. Our room on the top floor was in Japanese style, very cute and spotlessly clean. I loved the design of the bathroom as well. There are some bikes in front of the house which are free to use to go around Yuli. The owners also have a very sweet cat. We only stayed one night but I would have gladly stayed longer. Great hospitality!
The hosts were so friendly and kind we couldn’t have asked for a more welcoming stay. We felt truly spoilt and would love to go back. The breakfast provided every morning was delicious. The whole hotel was super clean and so comfortable. We think it’s one of the nicest places we’ve ever stayed. We were very sad to leave. The hotel is in a lovely area. There’s a nice steak restaurant nearby for dinner.
Even in the rain this place is stunning. Very tranquil setting and thoughtfully decorated rooms. The breakfast is amazing and the hosts are very welcoming. They even did our laundry after we arrived soaking wet from cycling in the rain all they and they drove into town to get us dinner.
The space is huge for 4 persons. Equipments are new and well maintained. It’s near by the main street, convenient to buy breakfast and dinner in walking distance. The staff is friendly.
I was on a bike tour around the island and booked this place from the side of the highway. Its a rustic hotspring resort where the rooms have their own with hotspring water. I had a private deck with a picnic table where I could drink some beers and enjoy the mountain views. Rooms are nicely decorated with wood paneling. Water is nice and hot, tubs basic but clean. Owner is a friendly athlete and cycling enthusiast who has won lots of races, cool guy.

The staff were very helpful and friendly throughout the duration of our stay and they helped us to order dinner and do laundry when we arrived. Although the location is a little out of the way, it’s very peaceful and picturesque. The building is beautifully decorated and the breakfast was fresh and delicious. Great value for money for those looking for a countryside getaway that’s off the beaten path.
