Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening, which distinguishes them from country or guest houses.
We had a great stay at Colibri Inn, the bed was massive and very comfy, and they gave us jugs of hot water and tea/coffee to make in the room which was great. The absolute best part though was Lizbeth, who greeted us on reception, went out of her way to help us arrange a private taxi tour to see the condors at Colca Canyon, made us an early breakfast before we left and stored our bags for us while we were gone! She was brilliant and is a credit to the hotel.
A good inexpensive hotel in a good location. The square is an easy walk with lots of dinner options. The room was warm given the -5 degree overnight. The facilities work well but are ageing but is still good value for money. The breakfast was basic but filling. Car parking in a secure lockup next door was great.
Colca Andina Inn is located in the heart of Chivay. It's a great choice if you're exploring el Valle del Colca and also to walk around Chivay. Rooms aren't so big, but they're still comfortable. Unlike other hostels in the area, the water runs, and it's hot (which is nice!)
Breakfast is served in the terrace (covered) from which you have beautiful views of the valley and the volcanoes.
