نزل عِطره Etra Inn, hotel in Nizwa

Located in Al Jināh, 600 metres from Nizwa Fort, نزل عِطره Etra Inn provides accommodation with a garden and free private parking.

Ali and Mohammed were generous and kind hosts. Ali went above and beyond to accommodate us and recommend an itinerary for us while in Nizwa. The accommodation has a nice traditional feel while also being modern. The accommodation is within walking distance of several new cafes and sights. The only thing to be mindful of is that the roads in this part of Nizwa are narrow and can often only accommodate one car. We would highly recommend staying in this inn when visiting Nizwa.

Bait Alharah, hotel in Nizwa

Set in Al Jināh, 200 metres from Nizwa Fort, Bait Alharah offers accommodation with a shared lounge, free private parking and a terrace. Each room is equipped with a patio.

Can not beat the location, green views into the garden of the fort from the roof terrace. (NOTE: narrow one way streets make it a bit tricky to arrive by car but easy to leave...) Nice decor, traditional but comfortable, great air conditioning (we were there in the summer and it was HOT). Our little room was dark, had a tiny window, so would not be a place you'd want to spend time in during the day (unless you needed a nap!), but the communal lobby area is set up for hanging out. The staff provided us with good recommendations for where to eat.

My family and I had a wonderful stay at the Alaqur Inn. Ammar was incredibly kind and accommodating of our late arrival and Mr Ali who we met at breakfast was also happy to answer all our questions about Omani culture. The location is just a stones throw away from the souq and is perfectly located to explore Nizwa and the surrounding areas. Would highly recommend!

The rustic feel that was inkeeping with the area. Location was great for strolling around the endless winding streets and souqs. Rooms were minimalistic which suited us and the bed was super comfy after a hard day.

The house is literally in the heart of Nizwa old town. It is a very unique experience and the inn is truly one of a kind. We received a warm welcome from the host, who was very friendly and helpful. The entire place was very clean, and the beds were perfect. The pool is heated and perfect for relaxation.

We had an amazing experience in Nima Guest House. The owner, Hossein, is a very kind and laid-back person, he made sure we had everything we needed. The rooms are tidy and spacious, the prices very reasonable. The house has a nice terrace where free coffee and tea is offered for the guests. There’s a well-equipped kitchen, and you can do your laundry for 1 OMR. It’s centrally located, a 5-minute walk from the fort and the souq. It was very calm and quite. We returned to stay there for a second time.

This 3 bedroom guest house is set on the edge of the Jebel Shams canyon, just above the start of the W6 balcony walk. The view is stupendous from the 2 front rooms. The room is value for money. The addition of an outdoor chair from which to admire the view was welcome. It had a good range of English language TV channels which was welcome. The set dinner was delicious with a variety of dishes and the breakfast was good too. The bed was very comfortable. Our host Mossan could not do enough for us: he was extremely helpful and obliging.

What not to like? Perfect stay at Sama Al-Khutaim, thanks to Mohsin, who made sure that we were taken care of. The hotel (or the guest house, rather) is a few yards away from the start of the Balcony Walk, the main attraction. We loved the fact that there were very few guests staying (3 rooms only), as it gave a family vibe, which was really nice. The food we had for dinner and breakfast was tasty and plentiful. Can only recommend! Careful! You must have a 4WD to reach the hotel. A normal car won't go up those hills and rough terrain!
