A good half way spot to spend the night on our way to Wellington. A heat pump warmed up the room quickly. Bed was comfortable. We had a disabled unit and there was a carport next to the unit for our car which was handy as it was raining when we arrived. A short walk to shops and places for dinner.

Nice little unit and rustic feel off the beaten track. Pay for what you get. Right in town, close to shops. Good place for an overnight adventure with a trip to the Army Museum.

Very convenient. Staff very good. Clean. A bed for a rest stop: adequate but bare bones. (Towels provided, but not soap. There was an electric kettle, cups, tea, instant coffee, a one serving carton of milk. No TV. Good restaurants nearby: Rustic Eating house and Subway right across the street. The military museum very close.

We needed a place to stay in Waiouru and the Welcome Inn was great. Hosts were super helpful and friendly, offering a more suitable room than we had booked and accommodating our very late arrival. The unit was cosy, very clean and tidy, and the complimentary beers in the fridge was a nice touch. A nice sunny spot to drink your morning coffee just outside the door. Would recommend if you need a spot to stop over in Waiouru.

Inn manager was very accommodating. We got to the Inn quite late because we're travelling from the South Island via ferry. We notified the Inn and they waited for us. We even got free beer :). The room is clean and spacious. They even have SKY cable :). We slept well and was refreshed for our long journey the next day. I definitely recommend this place. 'Will defintely come back.

We really enjoyed our stay at Welcome Inn - we were there for a family Wedding and the wonderful couple who manage the Motel were just so cool and friendly - would definitely stay again.

The location, perfect for our visit to the region. Plenty of space in the unit for the 4 of us. Fantastic restaurant close by (Rustic) which made up for the basic unit with a tiny tv screen and no wifi.
