Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening, which distinguishes them from country or guest houses.
The staff helped with every inquiry concerning where we wanted to go. The Hotel was very close to the Hospital which we had to go to each day and the room was large and comfortable so it made it easier to come back to after emotional hospital visit. So enjoyed our time will book the Motor Inn again the next time we return to Nelson
Arrived and there was a jazz band planning till 3pm..Such a nice outdoor drinking area, and the sun was shinning...Absolutely loved our room #11... Best room there...lol...Comfyist bed ever...!!
Location for our stay was great Dinner was very good too . Very noisy boiler or pump pulsating through our room over the kitchen meant we had to ask for another room to sleep in, which was offered to us and problem was averted . Parking was very good
We had a room overlooking the river - just lovely. I especially liked the beautiful wall mural
Staff had set up the room really well and had even turned on the unfloor heating for the bathroom.
We had dinner at the restaurant and the food was excellent. Keep the mulled wine going and the Hot butter Rum. Yum. Lovely helpful and professional staff.
The view out to sea from the property was priceless, espeically at sunset. We had oringinally booked a table for dinner nearby, but after arriving at the property and seeing the view, decided to cancel dinner. Instead, we just bought food back so that we can enjoy the view. Sunrise the next morning was just as incredible. The property also had everything we need, so we were very comfortable. Should have stayed for a few more days...
Beautiful, quiet place near the sea and close to the airport. Rooms are very quaint and oldie worldie, loved it. Dinner was lovely by an open fireplace, food good. Nice outlook, comfortable, would stay again
Paulina was such a warm and welcoming host, her incredible breakfast was a highlight! I’m so glad I found her guest house for my short stay in Nelson, it was cosy, comfy and perfectly located. I’ll recommend staying here to anyone I know travelling to Nelson. Thank you Paulina! I’ll be back ☺️
Our host was so accommodating and tried to get us the most suitable room - upgrading us for free from what we booked. We had kitchen facilities and bathroom and everything very clean. We picked up take away from nearby tavern for dinner, and had a walk along the beach in the morning before our flight (5 min taxi to airport). Highly recommend this little motel. A little dated but spotless and everything we needed. Fantastic for the price!
