Big space, comfortable bed, well equipped suite. Easy to find. Appreciated the recommended breakfast and dinner spots, of which there are a few just down the road.

We knew the property was not within walking distance to pubs/restaurants so we planned to fully utilise the apartment’s excellent kitchen facilities for dinner and breakfast (the dishwasher was an unexpected bonus). We enjoyed a fabulous meal, imbibed liquor without concerns for driving, and enjoyed the hot tub under a freezing, starry sky. Couldn’t be better. Good value for money as a result. The shower was also excellent and quality furnishings (good beds) and carport (no frost on the windscreen) were appreciated.

Very nice innkeepers and big unit with a full kitchen, living room, etc. Although they were not required to, the innkeepers were kind enough to refund our second night when we chose to leave a day early.

The staff were most friendly. They have a restaurant and bar where we ordered our dinner. They catered for my gluten-free pisctarian diet. Well done you!

We have stayed at Gladstone before For an old historical hotel it is pretty good.Linen is always fresh & clean. Towels are soft & plentiful. The rooms all have their own basins, which is handy. the breakfast is a standard cereal, tinned fruit tea, coffee and toast arrangement , fine to start the day.Always a quiet stay& meals in the bar are great. An added bonus is that the famous Fairlie Pie shop is just up the road if you want a good coffee & doughnut!
