Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening, which distinguishes them from country or guest houses.
The rooms are comfortable, the location is close by the willpatu safari and they fix everything for you. In the evening we had a dinner together with other people! Such a nice place!
The host was great and he was easy to talk to. He arranged dinner for us when we arrived late in the evening. The room was clean and equipped with a mosquito net. The accommodation is just a few minutes from the gate of the national park.
The hosts were super welcoming, shared information and accommodated our requests where possible. They arranged an excellent safari driver for our full day tour in Wilpattu National Park. The food was good, and cost approx $14 AUD for dinner and dessert. Breakfast was included and was filling. Remember to have local currency for payment. The host came to the ATM to allow us to make payment which was very accommodating as we only had USD for the room costs.
Welcoming atmosphere, you felt at home instantly. Everyone was very caring and they did their best to make you feel special.
We even got special honeymoon decoration without asking for it.
The dinner buffet -self-cooked by the family- was excellent, healthy and delicious. Highly recommended!
Highly innovative and fun rooms - containers on stilts! Unusual but it works brilliantly. Staff were very warm and friendly. Lastly, Tarique and Lakshi are brimming full of suggestions on activities and food recommendations. I’m glad we followed their advice: a highly memorable evening boat safari and fisherman’s dinner by campfire on a sandbank.
A wonderful stay and unique experience.
The tents are well equipped with everything you need to have a comfortable stay. Pleasantly surprised the shower was even warm inside our tent!
When heading here, we would advise to arrive as early as possible, as we didn’t arrive until early evening and so had less time to enjoy the facilities and surroundings.
If you opt in for dinner you’ll have a delicious 3 course meal - lovely vibe and ambience.
Very cute guest house right next to rice fields. Very friendly owner who help organise safaris. Very tasty dinners! Used a bike for free. Room is simple but clean.
The guest house was in a lovely garden surrounded by nature & the host Dylan was really friendly and helpful. He booked a safari for us with an excellent spotter, we were delighted to see several leopards, sloth bears, an elephant and many more beautiful animals. The room was basic but met our requirements and the bed was comfortable. We had dinner at the guest house both nights, around a table with the other guests - it was a lovely experience and the food was great - vegetarian friendly!
We had a great time here!
