Special mentioning about living like in wildlife zoo. Near of the river and out of the hardest car roads, the guesthouse offerer the real life animal views in their natural environment, who showed themselves without chasing, such as are chased whales and elephants just for curious turists. Here I met and some of them first time in my lifetime two meters varans, peacocks, smaller lizards like leguans, monkeys, mangusts, porcupines, etc. They are not dangered or approaching humans.

Incredible place. Would happily just live there and never leave. Peaceful. Beautiful property, gorgeous rooms, designed with high aesthetic. AC and a comfy bed. Nice bathroom and even a private garden area, and a writing desk. High ceilings lend a lot of space to the room. Justin is a legendary host. And Shadow the golden retriever! Barely a three minute ride to surf Marshmallow. This place is the best.
Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening – distinguishing them from country or guest houses.
The host and his family are very warm and you immediately feel comfortable and welcomed. The host has many good contacts with, for example, surf schools, whale watching tours and scooter rental companies. The guest house also offers a laundry service, very practical! His wife prepared dinner for us once, it was heavenly! I would be happy to come back on my next trip to Sri Lanka. :)
Most amazing host I had ever seen! They are a lovely family with a traditional wooden bakery business, I also got to taste the freshly baked bread, that was FANTASTIC! They provided passion fruit juice, lifted me to the beaches and I felt almost like a family member! Bakery family guest house, you surely want to choose them if you’re visiting Mirrisa!
Fantastic location on the beach - with the opportunity to swim with turtles in the morning. The staff were charming and super helpful, and the breakfast and dinner were delicious. We only stayed one night - but would love to stay longer next time we visit Sri Lanka!
The food was amazing from breakfast to dinner. The location by the sea has a lovely breeze and natural wave pool in the sea, can walk/swim across to the Island and see turtles in the next bay along. Loved the supportive and friendly staff.
Great host, very nice cozy yard and a comfortable room with a good fan that keeps you cool. The beach is very close, and the hotel is in a quiet place. Perfect for a good rest. The kitchen was a gem - the whole time in Mirissa we have been buying a bunch of sea food in Cargill’s for cheap and cooking awesome dinners
Nice guest house just in front of the beach. Yes beach house is a very cozy family run guesthouse. The owner and its wife are super friendly and helpfull and they even cooked an amazing dinner for us. We felt like we were distinguished guest invited to their place! :))
We (family of four) really liked the warm hospitality of the hosts. They were always very kind and helpful and very easy to talk to. Also we liked the special breakfasts and dinner, which was absolutely delicious. Personally I liked the morning walks around the village and rural area. As the guest house was about 1 km from the busy main street, you could see all kind of animals, birds and other wildlife during the walks. It was really liked visiting a zoo.
I had a very warm welcome of Damith and his family. The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable. For every room there is a possibility to sit outside.
The lady of the house made very good local breakfast. We also had a delicious homemade dinner and were sitting with the whole family having a great evening. I would totally recommend having dinner here.
The guest house is located next to fisherman’s harbour and you could easily walk to Mirissa Beach in a couple of minutes.
I had a very good stay in the house of this lovely family.
We had a wonderful 3 night stay here at the beginning of our Sri Lanka travels. Clean and spacious room and bathroom with hot water. The owners are particularly helpful and generous - let us use their snorkels and served the most amazing breakfast with a huge plate of fruit each! While the guest house room doesn’t offer a sea view, it is not even a 1 minute walk to the beach which was fab!
Sparkling clean and managed by the friendliest people you can find in Sri Lanka, Lemazone Inn is a highly recommended guest house in Mirissa. The rooms are pretty big and equipped with kettle and AC. Breakfast is absolutely delicious - they serve you fresh local fruits and homemade pancakes. Samantha, one of the staff members, gave us a lesson of kindness and altruism. Lemazone Inn definitely deserves the best ratings.
