Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening, which distinguishes them from country or guest houses.
Tony is a great host! He was very helpful, friendly and nice to chat with. He arranged for me a tour of Jaffna peninsula and helped with other travel arrangements. In the guest house there are whiteboards with lots of useful info for travellers such as train and bus schedules. Breakfast (a la carte) had a lot of options to choose from. Overall basic guest house but with great vibe and services.
Room size was good although we were in the villa which doesn't have ac.
We had dinner one night which was very nice but ready 1 hour later than we'd been told so pretty hungry by the time it arrived.
Friendly and helpful GM, managers and all the staff, comfortable and clean suite and the premises, great local and western food options at the restaurant Amudum, beautiful and well maintained lawn and gardens, special events like month end outdoor street food festival and other buffet dinners, clean swimming pool and workout room facilities
I tried the breakfast two times. It’s very good. I like it but I didn’t try the lunch and dinner next time when I travel to come to Jaffna I will try everything. It was very good.
The location was great and the veranda upstairs looked over a family park with lots of trees. The host was super engaging and gave great advice visiting and recommendations. Room was a spacious and clean. Had the absolute winner of Jaffna Coconut Curry Crab at JAC restaurant. Fast wifi.
This was an enchanting stay in a residential suburb not too far outside of the main Jaffna city. The house is 150 years old, and it does feel like staying in an old mansion - with the giant keys and fancy doors. The guesthouse owner was very kind and helpful, and made me delicious food for dinner. He also assisted with laundry for no charge. There is no heated water, but there is a built in "fountain" in the wall, which added to the old-timey feeling.
The host was extremely helpful and nice. He made sure we were comfotable and went above and beyond to make our stay at Jaffna memorable.
We ordered dinner and breakfast for 2 days and the quality of food was exceptional.
Looking forward to visiting again.
Staff were very nice and accommodating. We had breakfast and dinner here and the food was delicious! Very pretty building.
