Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening – distinguishing them from country or guest houses.
What great place. Large quiet lodge in gorgeous rainforest. Manager does a wonderful job probably all the jobs. One of our best Sri Lankan dinners and breakfast very generous and delicious. She organised a guide for us in Sinharaja rainforest - such an amazing guide and trek.
Spend two nights in this property, and can’t stop saying how fantastic it was. The location is stunning literally you will be in the nature. The staff have been incredible (helpful, polite, going the extra mile). The food made was delicious (we had breakfast and dinner), bursting in flavour and colours. The excursions organised were also perfect. This place is definitely a 10/10
We loved the lunch that Mama cooked for us on the second day - absolutely delicious home cooked curries, out of this world. And the food the night before over dinner was tasty too. We also loved the pool, the view from the pool and the location on the edge of the Rainforest. But the highlight was our Rainforest walk, we saw so much - snakes, lizards, spiders, millipedes, various birds etc and loved the swim in the waterfall at the end.
Excellent location with Sinharaja Rain Forest literally on the doorstep and ideal for trekking.
Breakfast and dinners good.
Our car and driver could not get to the location but staff from Sinharaja Forest Edge sent a courtesy 4 x 4 to collect us to take us approximately 2km off road to the property which was great.
The host is very friendly and hospitable. Host also had few fusion cuisines. We ordered Fried rice for lunch and it was accompanied with devilled chicken and one portion was adequate for two adults. Then we ordered srilankan savoury omlet and Kerala Dum Rotti for dinner and it was yummy. This was one of the fusion cuisine. The view from the property is great and you could spot birds and monkeys on the nearby trees from the comfort of balcony.
Great accomodation, close to the rainforest. We had a whole flor with to balconies for our own. The hosts are such warmhearted people. We even got a great dinner. The pineapple juice was delicious.
The closest guesthouse to sinharaja entrance, very good breakfast and dinner, clean.
The last few hundred meters is not paved road, you need to contact guesthouse in advance, they will send vehicle to pick up.
This resort/ hotel is a rustic beauty. Very good for trekking ( with a guide) inside the Rain Forest , Bird Watching and nature lovers. Food was included in the booking and was very tasty. Loved talking to Tikkri Bandara, the man in charge of dinning.
The owners are very kind and welcoming. They can help you to arrange hiking in the forest with a great and passionate guide. You can ask for breakfasts, lunches and dinners in the guest house. The three dinners I took were exceptional, especially the grilled chicken with the vegetables.
The place is clean and quiet, it's easy to sleep, you have a Mosquito net for the bed.
