Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening, which distinguishes them from country or guest houses.
Been here twice and would come again. The owner is amazing and super nice. They offer transportation service from the inn to places like the Thai embassy at a fair price. Owner speak good English and will help and super nice. Would definitely recommend to anybody.
The staff were super friendly and helpful.
I arrived in Savvanakhet on a sleeper bus from Vientiane super early, I walked to Sala Guest house at around 6am and the family greeted with me with breakfast and made the room ready for me before 7am which I appreciated so much.
The bed was comfy and the shower was really hot.
I rented a bicycle from them for just 50k and explored the town and nearby lake.
I don’t give such high reviews easily, but this is a little gem. On a quiet side street so no traffic noises, but still very close to anywhere you would want to be going in town.
The hosts had the answer to any question: Recommendations for dinner? Best croissant in town? How to get from A to B?
The wifi was also great. Complimentary drinking water - as much as you need - was nice.
But the best thing was the beautiful house, tastefully decorated rooms with super comfortable bed, hosts and good atmosphere.
Staff were very friendly and helpful! Suggested where to eat and directions. Also I was able to rent a bicycle from the property which was useful. The owners had kindly prepared dinner for the guests which I joined. Bed was very comfortable and big! Room was very big too. Came with multiple bottles of water which was kind.
It is a place where you feel at home straight away. Large, clean rooms with fantastic beds. We had dinner with Mrs Mam and other guests and it was fabulous. They have scooters and laundry. Kind and relaxed atmosphere. Definitely the perfect place in Savannakhet.
Was very happy with this guest house. As mentioned in other reviews the lady who owned the guest house was amazing as was her family. I arrived at 9am and was checked straight in after they finished cleaning the room ( 10mins) th lady exchanged Thai baht and gave much better rates than the bank or currency exchange. Gave me lifts to the embassy and border when returning to Thailand.. ok would strongly recommend this place. I will be staying again when I return to Laos.. absolutely fantastic place and family
The bungalows are rustic and pretty, and sitting on the veranda at night is perfect for hearing frogs and chilling out. The shower, fan and aircon are great, and the room is small but cozy.
Delightful, helpful, friendly staff made it a wonderful stay. The location is fabulous - right on the Mekong river, with sunset views from the beautiful river terrace. Our room was spacious and comfortable, scrupulously clean and with everything we needed.
The food was great too - delicious breakfasts and dinners and wonderful coffee!
Highly recommended.
