Muang ngoy is a very authentic village. The owners said some spots to visit and we had lunch at their family restaurant and it was tasty. We were picked at the pier, like every other guest house does there. The views from the balcony its the crown jewel of this place! The hammock also its great.

Comfortable and spacious room. The beds were firm and nice. I slept the best in this room than any other hotel we stayed at in Laos. The hotel is not overlooking the water, but the hotel has a riverfront restaurant where breakfast is served. We had dinner there and it was nice - the view was amazing. The hotel was quiet.

This guest house was in a remote part of Laos, great kind owners, cute bungalow with a hammock outside. The rooms are small but cozy little bit old but I think it's adding to the charm of this place. Real homestay feeling!

Comfortable stay with great view and good location. No aircon. But the fan was sufficient in January. All the accommodation in Mong Ngoi is rustic. A bonus for Riverview is the water was actually hot. I paid the extra 75,000 kip for the good buffet breakfast at Penny's restaurant, which is a five minute walk away.

Best location and view. Restaurant deck was just lovely to sit over a long breakfast or dinner. The young man making coffee and serving food was excellent. Good coffee and drinks.

Excellent location - I had the river view while having a breakfast, and garden view from my bungalow. Breakfast is nice, and you can have both lunch and dinner as well. Everything is close, including the pier and a place you can rent a kayak from. Bungalows are nice, clean, bed is huge and comfy, with a mosquito net, water was provided daily. All the staff are friendly, helpful, some speak better English than others, but you can always find a way to explain what you need.
