Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening, which distinguishes them from country or guest houses.
Outdoor onsen is the best heal after a long day surfing at the beach right next door, friendly staff that speaks English, surfboard parking, connection shuttle to station. Dinner and breakfast were great too!
The room is really spacious, the view was wonderful, we were on the 9th floor and we could see the whole beach and some of the islands too.
The breakfast and dinner was really good as well, I recommend getting both as there are no other restaurants in walking distance.
We could park out car without reservation, and the beach was a few minutes of (slopy) walk away.
The food was excellent with very impressive presentations. We had half-board and the latest breakfast serving was at 8:30, the latest dinner at 18:30. Not much happening in the evening, although the onsens were great.
It felt like a spa-resort more than a bustling hotel, but we enjoyed it. We had a traditional room with futons and a lovely sea-view. It was simple but comfortable and clean.
We loved everything about our stay here! The hosts are extremely nice and very helpful with recommendations etc. It was so easy for us to communicate as foreigners too as they're fluent in English as well! They accommodated our late arrival, free parking and us not eating meat and prepared a giant delicious feast for dinner the next day. The building also has 3 private Onsens, which were really comfortable. Honestly, peak Ryokan experience, we're so glad we stayed here, cannot recommend this place enough!

The infinity pool at Gardenvilla is fantastic, perfect for snapping some great photos. The hotel's prime location, just a 12-minute drive to Shimoda Park and Perry Road, makes it ideal. Plus, dinner at Gardenvilla offers excellent value for money.
The ocean view from the hotel is incredibly relaxing.

The Pension Sakura owner, Yamamoto san, is so warm and helpful. Both he and Mrs. Yamamoto made you really feel at home.The room is good for the price, very airy and comfortable. The family bathroom is such a treat. Breakfast is so delicious, just regret that we did not reserve dinner at the Pension. That must be marvellous. Arigato gozaiimus, Yamamoto san!
