Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening – distinguishing them from country or guest houses.
Okamisan (owner) is so lovely and we enjoyed her home made dinner and breakfast. We’d like to come back to this Ryokan. Bus stop to Nozawa ski area is next to it, so it was convenient, too.
The lift, good heater in room, onsen with on-demand cold water pipe (cool off, adjust water temp), discounted skipass, rubber boots, umbrellas, v short walk to ski lift (4-5min). Innkeeper Kadowaki-san very friendly and helpful.
Lovely little family-run inn in Nozawa Onsen. We stayed in a tatami room, with a small but very clean full bathroom. The location is great for the town, hikes, and several public bathhouses, and were provided with yukata for walking around town to the baths. The dinner and breakfast were vegetarian, with lots of egg and tofu as well as meat substitutes (she can also make vegan if requested).
Such a pleasant experience, the family that runs this place offers breakfast daily and dinner for extra. It was totally worth the money. The meals were made me feel so good after eating them. The room itself had a private bathroom and nice details
Highly recommend having dinner at the lodge. Most tasty miso soups I’ve had. Very warm staff, the owner picked me up /dropped me off at the bus stop, I had a nice stay.
Friendly, cosy, family-friendly guest house. The owner, family and staff went out of their way to make us welcome and comfortable. Breakfasts and dinners were inexpensive and very satisfying. Gear hire was much better value than the other rental places in town (special price for staying guests) and super convenient. Everything was exceptionally clean. Highly recommended.
wonderful lady innkeeper, very kind and sweet. clean place, and big tatamis for two people. it’s basic but really glad we got a place to stay when everywhere else was booked out.
Friendly innkeeper who gave us a much needed lift with our baggage up to the carpark.
A balanced location between slopes and heart of town.
Clean and comfortable.
