Incredible value for money - right on the beach, aircon worked superbly in the yurt and the vegan option for the BBQ dinner was so good we ate there both nights!
Great location, sun terrace and right on the beach! Close to the port and the museums. The lady who looked after the property very friendly and helpful, picking us up from the port, making dinner reservations for us etc.
Tiny but efficient little spot near the harbor. We didn't actually meet anyone check-in but we got an instructive email and got in with no problems. The town was very sleepy when we were there (approx July 20) but we were well located and near what was open. We used the public bath and went to the near by coffee place, and had dinner nearby one night.
We weren't sure if there was housekeeping or not (couldn't tell) but there was!
The hosts were really great and met us at the ferry to take our luggage back to the house. This allowed us to rent bicycles right away at the port and start our exploration of the island. The house itself is in a quiet fishing village close to the beach and yellow pumpkin. It felt like a home out of time with the added bonus of contemporary art books. The hosts also gave us great dinner recommendations which we greatly appreciated!
Very friendly staff. already before you arrive you get information and offer to pick you up at the ferry. We had dinner included. The food was extra-ordinary. High end menu with options for wine, sake or juice pairing.
It’s perfect for a night’s stay! The innkeeper was such a welcoming and caring man. The stay is underpriced and we’ll definitely come again! Thank you for your astonishing hospitality!
Beautiful Japanese minka house made into a guest house. The guest house was very cozy and I enjoyed chatting with the other guests in the kitchen and living room. The house is just stunning and it was such a joy staying there in the heart of Honmura area. It is opposite Ando museum and Art House: Minamidera. I was also given a 100¥ discount on the café opposite.
The hosts also work at Cafe Salon Nakaoku which is another beautiful restaurant and a must-visit! Do make a reservation with the GH for dinner. :)
