Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening, which distinguishes them from country or guest houses.
Kindness from owner always attracts me. Every time when I try to English exam, I always choose to use this guest house though however I experienced bad luck on this time. I've accidentally lost my wallet somewhere unrecognizable place. I was self destructive nevertheless owner was about to get along with my difficulty. I had no choice but need to call it off my stay for finding out my wallet. But owner was about to calm my nerve with special coordination.
the guest house is nice! it is close to the JR station. The room is very clean and tidy. The owner is very nice! There are cats in the guest house and they are very cute. Love this guest house very much!
Everyone at the hotel was lovely and looked after us very well. Lots of seafood for dinner and also breakfast, and both were generous. Our room had a sitting area and a great view of the harbour. In addition to our private bathroom, there was an onset style bath, which you can use privately with your partner.
Top to bottom, I’m traveling 16 days, so far best ever. Old style Japanese Life music to so many choice , fancy dinner, great Onsen to its view. But one day to make other day to female , you can have even you stay a day, either morning or night It worth it every penny. Stay there two days. I did one but already scheduled other town, if you do , please try two days
The host was super lovely and welcoming. She assisted us greatly, and the room was so comfy and warm! It was like being right at home.
The host let us know about other guests checking in late, which was appreciated as this meant we could plan our dinner and showers accordingly.
Look forward to hopefully returning to Japan soon and back to this wonderful accommodation and host.
Breakfast was wonderful , also dinner at The Willows , prepared by James was magnificent!
World class food and a fabulously entertaining and thoughtful host.
We felt totally spoilt at Ohashikan Junko and James couldn’t do enough for us and they made us feel like we were their only guests.
We hope to come back one day!
A real discovery: Mihonoseki is a special place, a fishermen's village away from everything and still quite convenient to reach. I stayed at one of the Fukumakan annex houses. A beautiful old Japanese house, perfectly maintained with all conforts one might need. Lovely views of the port from the first floor.
Breakfast and dinner are also a special treat in Japanese fish cuisine.
Highly recommended
Guest house Yonemuraya was a pleasant surprise. It was so much better than staying at a hotel, as it felt like a more authentic Japanese experience. I travelled to Matsue for a conference at Kunibike Messe convention centre and this was only a short walk away. Emi-San was an excellent host, helping me with finding place for dinner, sightseeing and shopping ideas when I had time off work. There was a lively restaurant area nearby, and the train station, castle etc were within walking distance.
