This place is perfect for a few days getaway in the mountains! Really lovely hosts (Yusuke and his wife) and beautifully done up building. Yusuke gave great itinerary suggestions and safety and transport tips, and hosted an epic bonfire for the guests too. Nice communal feel, well maintained and clean facilities. On-site restaurant as well with delicious food makes it easy to sort out dinner plans! Arigatō gozaimasu!
once I found the place it was a good location. friendly clean and comfortable. the restaurant was closed but they offered a delicious and interesting breakfast. helpful staff helped me with dinner reservations
We absolutely love the size of the room. It was huge and the bed was very comfortable too. Decorations of the hotel were tastily done and it just gave us a very comfortable feeling. The restaurant breakfast is a must to try because the ingredients, the bread are just fantastic. They individually made the bun and the ambience was so comfortable. We stayed for 2 nights and we went for their breakfast for two morning. They do also have nice dinner bar also and feel free to try them too. But the breakfast was the highlight.
This is our 3rd time to visit Karuizawa. We had a great dinner at fine dining Restaurant, all dishes are really great. Our Moms enjoyed very much for Mothers day. Reception is really helpful, he help reserve table for restaurant, and explained Onsen in detail. It is friendly for elders to use hot spring.
Lobby is mordern, with exquisite view. Villa with sloping roof feel ourselves in a forest gallery. We loved and definitely will stay here again.
The staffs are very polite & helpful.The room is very spacious with a kitchen,but limited cooking utensils are provided on request. It's close to a nice big supermarket that we can cook simple breakfast and dinner. It's about 15 mins walk from the train station. Should be nice if shuttle service is provided. We enjoyed a relaxing stay there. They generously provide free welcome drinks daily in the afternoon.
What a beautiful little stay! I can’t tell you how lovely the owners were, nothing was too much to ask. They picked us up from station and dropped us back the next day. They also went above and beyond our expectations and picked us up after our dinner and Onsen at 9.30pm at night. The room was comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. Do yourself a favour and book this bed and breakfast you won’t be disappointed.
The hosts were simply amazing, exceeding any expectations you may have. I was sick when arriving to the hotel. But, with lots of help and care I received (plus delicious breakfasts and dinner!) I got much better in 3 days spent in Karuizawa and was ready to continue our journey through Japan. We even had a car tour so I could see Karuizawa despite not feeling well. ありがとうございます!
Breakfast has various type of food from Japanese to Western made from fresh local raw materials and high quality. I like the Hashbrown which is a bite size, good quality of ham and cheese. Also had dinner at the restaurant which is very good taste and classy.
Interior is very nice and very new facility with breezy air and jungle around. We could enjoy the staying for 2 nights and already recommend to friends who plan to visit there.
Friendly Innkeeper, family operated. Felt like i was being hosted by a local, rather than staying at an establishment.
