Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening, which distinguishes them from country or guest houses.
Villa Palagione - Centro Interculturale is a wonderful place in a beautiful location with a swimming pool. The owners and staff were very kind and friendly, always helpful and caring. It is possible to stay there all day - with perfect breakfasts, lunches and delicious dinners. The road to the villa can be tricky, so a better (higher) car (or SUV) would be an advantage. The host were super nice, they were kind and welcoming even though we couldn't speak italian. The breakfast was delicious, but we couldn't try the dinner unfortunately. The location was very peaceful, with a lot of dogs and cats.
The property had beautiful Italian rustic charm, the views were breathtaking. The staff are all amazing, welcoming and friendly, the rooms are spacious and very clean. The food is fabulous, the selection and value for money.
Room is very spacious and clean. The host was extremely warm and kind. The breakfast and dinner served by the hosts was the best in the whole trip. Overall a wonderful stay. Will definitely come back again.
The location of the house is amazing. The owners were very kind and helpful. He recommended a wonderful restaurant for dinner and booked a table for us. Wonderful gifts were left for us in the apartment - wine and oil produced by the hosts' farm.
It was a lovely remote farm house style in the countryside about 7km from Volterra. We ate dinner on site each evening and the food and wine was excellent. It was an ideal location to stay for the Andre Bocelli Concert which was 16 km away. You need a car if you want to stay here
It’s very central yet a tad offsides the many action. We recommend the Hotel for Toskana beginners that can’t yet decide what kind of hotel (vineyard, b&b or pension-style) suits them best! The hotel was all of the above combined and felt very cosy and home-ly!
- cozy room, rustic
- nice perfume in the room, the traditional tuscan cinnamon based smell
- remote location, countryside, quiet
- you can also serve dinner (we didn't but smell was good)
- they also sell handmade local products
- decent breakfast
- host was welcoming, speaks english, good advice for travelling around the region
